Assembly Bill 1111, introduced by Assemblymember Laura Friedman in 2019, would have create an Office of Outdoor Recreation in the Governor’s office. AB1111 was held in the Appropriations Committee, and did not reach the Governor’s desk.  AB1111 garnered a significant amount of support, and the vision for an Outdoor Office of Recreation has not died in Sacramento.  CAMTB will monitor new expressions of this bill.
