SUMMARY:Ride Like a Girl - Women's MTB Ride - Monte Bello Plus
DESCRIPTION:For June\, our women’s ride series is moving halfway up the Bay to ride some of the fun\, flowy singletrack in the parks along on the Peninsula skyline. \nJoin ride leader Rebecca Lewington at 8:30am in the Monte Bello OSP parking lot near the top of Page Mill Road. (4301 Page Mill Rd\, Los Altos\, CA 94022). We’ll gather up for a quick huddle to talk about the ride at about 8:45\, and roll at 9:00 am. \nWe’ll probably split into two groups. The Teal group will cover about 10 miles with 1\,700 feet of climb. These trails aren’t super-technical\, so less experienced riders will be fine. \nThe longer\, Denim group\, will do a 17-mile route that is effectively the greatest hits of Monte Bello\, Russian Ridge and Coal Creek. With about 2\,800′ of climb\, you’ll have earned your after-ride beverage after a grand day out. \nThe mission of Ride Like a Girl is to have fun\, learn new trails and meet other women (cis\, trans and femme) who love to mountain bike. We’ll take care of you: these are no-stress rides where no one is left behind. \nPlease bring your mountain bike\, obviously\, in good working condition. (No ebikes\, please. They’re not allowed in these parks.) Whether you’re running tubeless tires or not\, please make sure you have a spare inner tube to fit your wheels\, plenty of water and some food for the trail. \nWe usually hang out for a while after the ride\, so bring along your favorite beverages and snacks if you feel like it. And a chair!
