Sea Otter Highlights
CAMTB returned this past April to Monterey, CA, the site of the legendary Sea Otter Classic. This year marked our 4th year exhibiting at the world’s premier cycling festival, and it was an epic show indeed! CAMTB coalition members, partners, and Teen Ambassadors were all on hand to help build awareness and support for cycling, trails, and public lands advocacy. The Sea Otter highlights were plentiful throughout the event.
Coalition members, including San Diego Mountain Biking Association, Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay, Orange County Mountain Biking Association, Coastside on Bikes, Concerned Off Road Bicyclists, and Monterey Off Road Cycling Association hosted booth takeovers and regional meet-ups throughout the weekend.
Our Teen Ambassadors participated in community activations with our brand partners at their booths. Activations included custom CAMTB hats from Tommy Breeze, a Bike & Draw event with artist Chris McNally and the Team from Ornot, a meet up with SRAM and the World Bicycle Relief, Otter Games with Crankbrothers, laser engraved stem caps with Marin Bikes, and an All Ages Happy Hour with Waterloo and Best Day Brewing.
One of the more special events of the weekend was the Coastside on Slices, a community gathering hosted by CAMTB and Coastside on Bikes. We’d like to give a huge shout-out and thank you to Ric Barker, Thomas Demeo, and the entire Coastside crew for putting on an epic dinner. All told, the Coastside team churned out over 50 wood-fired pizzas. We’d also like to express our gratitude to Sierra Nevada Brewing, Waterloo, and Athletic Brewing for keeping our whistles wet all evening!
Thank you to all of our partners who helped make Sea Otter such a memorable and fun event. See you next year!
