About the Custom Marin Alpine Trail 2 Carbon

Grand Prize: Complete custom-built, size Large, Marin Alpine Trail 2 Carbon mountain bike (estimated retail value: $6,000 USD).

Ready to bring the Fun? Marin Bikes‘ custom Alpine Trail 2 Carbon takes all that is great with the acclaimed AT2 enduro frame, including 150mm of smooth MultiTrac travel, and wraps it all in a wild “mountains to the sea” color fade that hearkens back to the earlier days of Marin’s storied history.

While the paint scheme beckons the natural elements, the technology underneath is fully modern, with a unidirectional carbon fiber main triangle bolstered by a bridgeless Series 4 aluminum seatstay and chainstay, forged one-piece rocker, and contemporary geometry numbers with 63.5° HTA and 78° STA.

The Alpine Trail 2 frameset is an excellent foundation for this bespoke build and includes RockShox suspension, with a 160mm Zeb RC up front and a Super Deluxe Select shock out back. Other features include an e*13 Vario infinite dropper post and lever, FSA sealed cartridge bearing headset, seat clamp, front and rear thru-axles, and custom downtube and seat stay protectors to simplify your new dream bike’s parts sourcing.

What Your Donation Supports

Your donation to the California Mountain Biking Coalition will help fuel our ongoing state-level mountain bike advocacy efforts, including:

Advancing our Land Manager initiatives with the USFS and CA State Parks CAMTB and its member organizations have two important organized efforts underway that will help our local trail organizations build productive relationships and more and better trails with the #1 and #4 largest land managers in the state.
Supporting bike-friendly trail stewardship organizations in California with organizational and leadership development resources.
Tracking and influencing legislation ethat impacts cyclists, access to public lands, and funding for trails, as well as preserving and protecting outdoor spaces and places. For us, that means time spent in Sacramento meeting with lawmakers and appealing for their support on pertinent legislation.
Running its freshly-minted CAMTB Teen Ambassador Program, which is educating and engaging the next generation of leaders in cycling advocacy. CAMTB is currently working with seven high school juniors, many of whom will join us at Sea Otter Classic!

About the Partners

Made For Fun.

Marin Bikes are Made For Fun. Since the first mountain bikes bearing the Marin Bikes name debuted in 1986, the brand has been dedicated to enriching the lives of our riders by making fun, high caliber bicycles, which provide years of riding enjoyment. We operate a business based on hard work, fueled by passion, and fulfilled by the satisfaction of bringing the joy of cycling to riders across the world.

Whether your idea of fun involves riding rugged trails to that high alpine lake, pinning on a race number and entering your first race, taking the long way home on your commuter bike, bikepacking to that remote campsite, or just exploring the neighborhood bike paths, Marin brings the fun to your ride. It’s the principle that guides us when developing new bikes, from long-travel, trail-devouring machines that are at home in some of the world’s most challenging race circuits to the multi-surface capable pavement collection. Each model is designed to be playful and to maximize the opportunities for two-wheeled fun.
