California Assembly Bill 1150 (AB-1150) Position Statement by CAMTB

California AB-1150 aims to make it easier for qualifying nonprofit community organizations to provide interpretive and visitor services in CA State Parks to underserved communities. The current permitting process is costly, time-consuming, and unnecessarily prohibitive. AB-1150 will allow eligible nonprofits to secure long-term access agreements with CA State Parks, and for CA State Parks to provide free/reduced access fees as well as personnel services and access to onsite facilities. These are the critical components needed to help establish or expand valuable community programs like CORBA Youth Adventures, Outdoor Outreach, Trips for Kids, and GRiT.
