Trail Stewards Rally in Monterey for Cycling, Trails, Public Lands 🌲🚲
We’re still riding the high from an incredible in Monterey! Check ou the Central California Singletrack Summit recap below. CAMTB would like to extend a huge thank you to the Monterey Off Road Cycling Association (MORCA) for being such fantastic hosts and showing us how it’s done on the Central Coast.
It was so great to see so many of you from the trails community come together. Special shoutout to the reps from Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship, SF Urban Riders, Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay, Coastside on Bikes, and the Sea Otter Classic Foundation for making the trek and sharing your expertise!
Weekend Highlights
This weekend was the perfect mix of deep-dive advocacy, community building, and hero dirt. Here is what we got into:
- Tackling the Big Issues: We had great discussions on navigating emerging e-bike/e-moto policies and explored how AI is beginning to impact trail advocacy and stewardship.
- Building for the Future: We shared fresh strategies for fundraising within stewardship communities and strengthening our industry partnerships.
- The Dirt: Getting eyes on the Laguna Seca Bike Park and, of course, getting our tires on the legendary Fort Ord singletrack.
- The Afterparty: You can’t beat an epic pizza pub crawl around Monterey and Pacific Grove to cap off a day of trail talk!
