2023 State Legislative Session Wraps Up
Key State Parks Legislation Advances. Climate Bond and e-Bike Legislation Now Slated For 2024 Session.

The 2023 Legislative session wrapped up Friday, Sep. 15th, and Gov. Newsom has made his final decisions on all legislation. We are pleased to share that three bills that CAMTB advocated for this year have passed including:
- AB 1150 (WPW) Parks, Recreation, and Vessels: Omnibus
- SB 668 (Dodd) State Parks: Operating Agreements, and
- AB 618 (Bauer-Kahen): State Parks: Reservations.
Additional Legislative Updates:
AB 1567 (Garcia), also known as the Climate Bond, is now a two-year bill, and will be back up for consideration in the 2024 legislative session.
AB 530 (Boerner) Vehicles: Electric Bicycles will also be up for consideration next year. CAMTB has yet to take a position on AB 530 but our Legislative and Government Affairs team will be monitoring it closely and providing comments to the author based on feedback from the CAMTB community.
